In 1989 I wrote 'FOUR-STROKE FINALE? The Honda Trials Story' (along with co-author John Dickinson) as part of our range of books published by Willow Publishing (Magor). Initial sales of 'The Honda Trials Story' were very poor, in fact the truth is it took nearly 10 years to sell the entire print run of 1,200 books. It was our poorest-selling title!

After they sold out I still got the odd request for them but it was not worth the cost and the risk in re-printing them. In the last few years they have started to appear on eBay and have sold at between £60 and £127 for a copy! This was a book we couldn't sell, even when we reduced the price to £4.95!! -- A book ahead of its time!

Changes in printing technique now mean we can do very short print runs, say 50 or 100 economically, while before we had to think in terms of 1,000+.

I hope I don't disturb the market for genuine first editions. The re-print version clearly states:-
'Re-printed in October 2008'
The photo of the rear cover of the book (left) tells you what it is all about. Being almost 20 years since first published there is a whole new generation who don't know about those fabulous Hondas. I hope you enjoy reading it.
